Volunteer Hosts are a key component of the success of our antenatal courses. They are the backbone that keeps everything functioning. The course participants are about to go through a life-changing experience, and the majority of participants will form lifetime bonds with others in their class. The role of the Volunteer Host is to help the class gel, support the social aspects of the course, to help the Childbirth Educator and to make it a positive experience for everyone.
Usually the hosts are parents themselves and contribute their experiences to the group. Our past coordinators tell us it’s a lot of fun, and that they enjoy meeting a whole new group of people. It’s also a great way to revise the course for baby number two!
If you are interested in coordinating an antenatal class, we’d love to hear from you! Please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or leave us a message on 027 534 5527.
